We embrace the role we play in helping to protect our planet from climate change and the role we can play in supporting the communities that we work with. Tandem is mindful of its role as an employer to provide a supportive, respectful, and lively business for our employees. By creating a workplace in which our employees can thrive we ensure we can focus on managing property assets in an environmentally and socially responsible way.
Planet, Communities and Workplace #ActionOverWords
ESG
To ensure that ESG remains a priority within the business, Tandem has established an ESG committee who meet monthly. We consistently take actions to address the three pillars of our policy; Planet, Communities, and Workplace.
Planet Mark is an internationally recognised certification that measures and verifies progress in sustainability. Tandem has been a certified member since 2021, and in 2026 we reached a significant milestone by achieving Planet Mark Net Zero Committed status. This means we have established a robust net zero baseline, set near and long-term targets, and developed a Net Zero Transition Plan. Our ambition is to become a net zero organisation by 2030, and we are committed to publicly disclosing our progress each year to ensure transparency and accountability as we work towards that goal.
The Better Buildings Partnership’s Managing Agents Partnership is a collaboration of the UK’s leading property managers who are committed to improving the sustainable management of commercial real estate. Tandem has been an active member of the Managing Agents Partnership since 2020 and contributed to the Managing Agents Sustainability Toolkit.
Tandem is a proud member of Revo, the UK's leading professional body for the retail property and placemaking industry. Revo is a non-profit membership organisation that brings people together to collaborate and drive tangible change in retail property, supporting members through events, education, research, and engagement with government policy. Our membership reflects Tandem's commitment to staying at the forefront of the industry and contributing to a retail environment that is innovative, community-focused, and built for the future.
Tandem invests significantly in cyber security and has now achieved the ‘Cyber Essentials Plus’ accreditation. The Government-backed scheme recognises organisations that have best in class cyber security measures in place. Of the two levels of accreditation on offer, Cyber Essentials Plus is the highest.

Going Carbon Neutral
Following the reduction of our Scope 1 and Scope 2 emissions and an ongoing programme of offset purchases, we have committed to maintain our carbon neutral status – in association with Planet Mark.
Tandem ESG committee
Tandem is committed to a clear ESG Policy at all levels of the business, with regular reviews and reports at Board level. Our approach and performance are monitored by our ESG committee and focused on Planet, Communities, and Workplace. Our task groups target six key initiatives: best practice, social value, knowledge sharing, service delivery, governance, and supply chain management. Tandem has been certified with Planet Mark since 2021, reporting annual reductions in our carbon footprint and increased stakeholder engagement.
“A very personable team who operate with patience and understanding.”
