At this year’s UKREiiF in Leeds, Tandem invited industry experts from the retail property sector to talk about how – in the current economic, social and political environment – UK shopping centres aim to Survive or Thrive.
Tandem’s CEO John Jones chaired the discussion and introduced:
- Mark Robinson of New River REIT to discuss regeneration in town centres.
- Pete Cooper, XPE Group / Eldon Square to discuss changing services and experiences offered to customers.
- Nic Lowry, Cube RE set out some of the key factors affecting investment decisions in the sector.
- Neelum Choudhury, Head of ESG at Tandem talked about the environmental challenges and importance of social and community projects.
- Garry Mortimer-Cook, Horsham District Council added his views from a local authority perspective.
‘Survive or Thrive?’ drew a large audience packing out the Orbis Pavilion on the final morning of this year’s UKREiiF. There was clearly an appetite for investment and innovation within traditional retail environments. We look forward to putting on more events this year. Thanks to Orbis for hosting us in their pavilion.
