The Lamb's Conduit Street Christmas Event
Following numerous days of heavy downpour and freezing temperatures, only the rain managed to stay away for the Lamb's Conduit Street Christmas Event last week. Undeterred by the cold weather, the festive fun and activities went ahead and made for a truly special Christmas event on Wednesday 4th December!
With live carol singing, real reindeer, roasted chestnuts and warming festive drinks, visitors to the street enjoyed a unique Christmas experience in beautiful Bloomsbury, one of London’s hidden gems for shopping, food and fine things.
The festivities started at 3pm when local primary school St Alban's sang Christmas carols to shoppers. Customers then enjoyed more live music, carol singing, complimentary drinks and nibbles, met real life reindeer and listened to festive story telling from The Embers Collective, resulting in a magical shopping experience.
In addition to the family friendly activities, local charity Coram’s Fields hosted a make your own Christmas decoration workshop with face painting, with all proceeds going to fund their outdoor space for young people. And in support of the street’s incentive to be eco-friendly, limited edition ‘Lamb's Conduit Street’ cotton tote bags were also given out during the event.
By hosting events like these that not only support the traders on the street, but the local community too, it's a fantastic opportunity to show a shopping destination at it's finest. The personable experience you get from local independent traders, and the community feel you get seeing everyone work together is relate-able with customers. It's an experience you wont forget, and that's what makes Lamb's Conduit Street so special and favoured by many.
