Sustainable Recovery from Covid


There has been some of talk about a sustainable recovery from economic downturn due to COVID -19 https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/business-52851185 . Out of this crisis, can there be some good as ‘normality’ resumes?

We believe that this gives us an opportunity to ‘re- set’, as we make decisions about our business and how we want to operate going forward. Not just from the size of the office we occupy, but in every aspect of our business and the services we deliver.

At Tandem, we are reviewing all the aspects of our business to identify changes we can make, aim for net zero carbon, and supporting the circular economy and just doing what is right. Last week we published our Gender Pay Gap report, although not legally required to do so, and we are delighted to confirm that we now accredited by the Living Wage Foundation too.

We are already on a path of procuring 100% certified green energy for the buildings we manage by the end of 2020, and we will continue to challenge and make a positive decision at every step. With Hillbreak we are working with all staff to ensure that sustainability is embedded as a core value.

Our aim is to create and nurture the property assets of tomorrow by putting positive advocacy and progressive action at the heart of what we do. We have joined the Better Building Partnership to enable us to learn, develop and perform our role in the environment, society and the property industry.
