Supporting National Recycle Week 2019
Sustainability and environmental issues are high on agenda at the moment, and with the consistent press coverage highlighting the changes we need to make, at Tandem we are doing our bit to help.
From our office waste and recycling policy, to the contractors we choose to work with, considering the social impact of each business decision is an important one to make.
Over the last week, all our regional offices have participated in volunteering work with local communities, showing our support for National Recycle Week and choosing action over words.
Our Leeds team volunteered with Canal and River trust where they assisted in vegetation management and wildlife habitat improvements at St Ann Ings Lock.
Our Birmingham team volunteered with The Wildlife Trusts and picked litter from the local canals.
And on Tuesday the London office, along with members from our joint venture partners Tuckerman and Farebrother, and our FM partner Envirotech FM, volunteered with Thames 21 picking up litter from the foreshore of the Thames.
Senior Partner Lisa Riva says “At Tandem we are passionate about understanding the importance of environmental issues, that's why our ESG policy ensures honesty and integrity is at the core of the services we offer. We are helping to raise awareness of important campaigns such as National Recycle Week by choosing action over words.”
