New Appointment Win in Durham

Tandem have been appointed to manage The Riverwalk in Durham, the £30 million redevelopment formally The Gates Shopping Centre. The scheme which is owned by a fund managed by Clearbell Capital has been open to the public since Summer 2019. As part of the management appointment Tandem will provide client accounting and destination marketing.

The mixed-use leisure destination features an Odeon Luxe cinema, 35,000 sqft of restaurant space with current occupiers including Cosy Club and The Food Pit, student accommodation, and 23 retail units.

Tandem are advising and coordinating the post lockdown opening of the scheme to ensure the enhanced retail and leisure offer can continue to strive in the Durham tourism market, which saw 19.7 million people visit in 2018.
