We are seeking an energetic, enthusiastic Bookings and Centre Manager to join The Wilds at Barking Riverside

The Wilds is a new Community facility at Barking Riverside, which will be available for a range of local and community uses, including community events, co-working, meetings, family gatherings and club get together.

Tandem Property Asset Management operate the facility on behalf of client Barking Riverside and are looking to appoint an administrator to help manage bookings and events at the facility. The role will support the Property Management team by undertaking a range of administrative  and customer engagement tasks as identified by the Property and Facilities Managers. This will include liaising with clients, customers, guests  and tenants of The Wilds

Tasks will include – but are not limited to:


  • Taking bookings for the spaces available

  • Management of booking made through the web site

  • Liaising with potential customers on their requirements

  • Welcoming visitors to the building and showing the spaces available for booking

  • Meeting with booked customers to ensure they are aware of the operating procedures for the building

  • Setting up spaces to match booked requirements

  • Setting up screens/ tv’s for presentations where required

  • Drafting of emails, meeting minutes, memos and reports

  • Data entry and management of changes required to the booking platform

  • Creating monthly reports on bookings and use

  • Creating and delivering additional services to the workspace – i.e. printing, photocopying etc

  • Answering telephone calls & taking messages where appropriate

  • Supporting the Facilities and Property Manager in delivering duties on site

  • Keeping records and reports for H&S, repair and maintenance

  • Working with Tandem accounts team to processing payments on the booking system


Skills and Qualifications:


  • Computer literate with experience of Microsoft Word, Excel and Powerpoint as a minimum.

  • Excellent communication skills and great attention to detail. 

  • A confident, friendly and courteous manner, both in person and on the telephone. 

  • Excellent written skills.

  • Ability to work using initiative and take responsibility where necessary and to work as part of a team. 

  • Ability to work to a high standard while under pressure.

  • Live close to the facility in Barking to encourage involvement for the future benefit of the centre and the community

Job Title:         Bookings and Centre Manager

Location:         The Wilds, Northgate Road, Barking

Contract:         3 month contract – likely to be extended

Hours:           8.30am-4.30pm Monday to Friday with potential additional hours for some week end work by agreement.
